CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS

Merry Christmas everyone! Tonight is Christmas Eve for most of the world, but for us it won't be officially Christmas Eve until tomorrow. As I mentioned in an earlier post, our blended family splits the two weeks surrounding Christmas in half with our kids other families. When Raylan and I got married we made the decision to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with the kids every year, regardless of which week we had with the kids. The result has been when we have the second half of Christmas we celebrate "Christmas Eve" on Christmas Day and then celebrate Christmas Day on the 26th. Turns out this tradition was an easy sell to the kids. Seriously who wouldn't love to celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day TWICE! Especially when Santa comes TWICE! This is one tradition and one perk of having two families. And yes, Santa still finds his way to our house. I seriously like the gifts he sends my way.

Tomorrow at 2 when Jax and Little Hart arrive from their other house, the official Hartman celebration will begin. Poor Elle is stuck with us the whole Holiday since she hasn't been splitting the holiday for the past two years with her other family, but maybe, just maybe, we have a little surprise up our sleeve for her. Merry Christmas from our home to yours.

The Hartmans!

P.S. Our fireplace is now working for the Holidays!!
