This past weekend our Family of Five decided to meet up in Dallas/Fort Worth for the BYU vs. TCU football game at Cowboy Stadium. Raylan, me, Elle and Little Hart flew in from SLC and Jax flew in from Phoenix. Jax's plane arrived twenty minutes after ours and we met up in the airport. We had not seen him since we dropped him off at school in August. It was very cool and strange all at the same time to be meeting our son in an airport terminal.
The kids immediately fell into their old comfort zone and before we knew it - it was like old times - talking - laughing - teasing!!!! The highlight of our trip was attending the game at Cowboy Stadium......

The kids together first time since August!Even though the kids had been apart for close to three months - it was if no time had passed since they had seen each other last!
Serious JaxJax has not lost his sense of humor since his departure! He also had to break down and get a haircut from Super Cuts. He now understands there is a difference in who cuts your hair!

Elle and Little Hart in Golf Taxi home!It was extremely cold - I didn't think it got cold in Texas! Apparently I was wrong! The 10 minute walk back to the Hotel seemed extremely far away given the ice cold temperatures. You know it's cold when I say it is - where from Utah after all. We were lucky enough to get a golf cart taxi ride home.
The weekend was short and sweet. Everyone commented a number of times how much fun we had being all together - just like old times. So much fun that we decided to meet up somewhere different a few more times for the weekend during the school year.
Jax is coming home for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but his time will be spent between his two families, visiting friends and the usual hustle and bustle of the Holidays. So we will see him, but it won't be like it was this past weekend - PERFECTION!
