Today Little Hart is graduating from Middle School. Tomorrow she's officially a high schooler. Yikes! Raylan drove her to school this morning for her "last day!" All smiles for not only Little Hart, but her parents as well.
Yesterday we were reminded in sobering fashion, just how lucky we were to be celebrating this day with Little Hart. We received an email from Jax and Elle's school that one of their classmates was in intensive care at Primary Children's with a freak infection around her heart. Her prognosis is uncertain at this time.
Immediately it brought back to all of us Little Hart's uncertain status just a year ago. Thanks to prayers, faith, hope and love - a miracle occured with our Baby. My hope is for the same outcome for a daughter belonging to another family I have never met - yet feel tied together in a strange way.
Tonight when Little Hart walks across the stage to accept her diploma, I will be screaming for joy not only for this milestone in her life, but the fact we got to celebrate it period. Well I won't actually be screaming, as she warned me that she was already "embarrassed" to have so many people there for her graduation that I couldn't add to the embarrassment. Of course, Jax jumped in after she walked away from the table, "she never said anything about me screaming!" So sorry babe I'll be opening my mouth and Jax will be doing the screaming for me!
We have a lot to celebrate today! My hope and prayer is that another family will have the same fortune as ours. Please send your thoughts and prayers to this family during this difficult time - I know they will feel the warmth and love surrounding them even if they don't know who we are!
